Stressed and Foggy? Vloom Focus: Your Ally for Focus, Mood, and Gut Health

Dear Vloomer,

By taking and committing to your health and Vloom-Focus daily, you leverage the benefits of its patented production method. It is carefully crafted for you, to utilize all the nature-given, evidence-based, beneficial bio-activity of the Hericium erinaceus (Lion’s mane) mushroom. Premium, pure, and potent lion’s mane - from nature, to you.

By taking Vloom, you also participate in an ancient, global awareness of the potent power of nature’s medicines, specifically taken in their full, complete form. In the East, in thousands of years old medical systems such as traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), the power of Lion’s mane and its full-spectrum support to the mind, gut and body was well known. At first it was primarily used as an ally to the digestion system in the form of the soup or tea made with the mushroom. Findings show its usage as well to nourish the mind and spirit, and so to relieve stress, anxiety and depression. In Japan, tea from the whole mushroom was drunk, to enhance the cognition of Buddhist monks for their meditation practices. It was believed by those ancient cultures that Hericium erinaceus improves the flow of Qi (vital energy) both in the brain and the stomach (also called the second brain nowadays).

Be Natural, Be Vital, Be Vloom!

Nowadays with modern research, we know that it's natural gifts to the body, mind and soul, are enabled due to the symbiotic, wholistic actions of the mushroom bio-portfolio of compounds.  Hence, in Vloom we strongly emphasize on the importance of your food supplement sourcing, wholeness and diversification of compounds present.

Vloom-Focus® goes beyond cognitive health benefits thanks to its pure and potent biomass formula, and its patented preservation of abundant and healthful bioactive compounds. As such, it stands out for its anti-aging effects on the brain, body and skin, backed by science and provided by nature.

Focus-Memory-Stress

Nowadays, scientific research has uncovered that FOCUS not only supports mental sharpness but could also be an ally against cognitive decline caused by premature aging, oxidative stress and toxins that are ever-more prominent in our society and associated with diseases such as: Anxiety, Depression, Mild Cognitive Impairments, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's. This is due partly to its natural compounds, hericenones and erinacines, (hence its latin name Hericium erianaceus). Research suggests that they can pass the brain-blood barrier, due to perhaps their natural nature and small molecular size, directly supporting our brains, and enhancing their the synthesis of NGF factor (nerve growth factor). Vloom-Focus is researched on humans to promote the survival and renewal of brain cells, act as a neuroprotective agent, and to prevent neurodegenerative diseases from manifesting or further developing in our body.

Oxidative stress is a phenomenon that damages our brain cells, especially increasing in our bodies with age and outer stressful factors. So why Vloom Focus has shown to stop inflammation, and enhance significantly the natural antioxidant abilities in the body? Two key factors play in the prevention and relief of diseases such as Alzheimer's and Depression.

Strong Antioxidant and Anti-Inflammatory Effect:

Vloom-Focus® can protect cells from free radical exposure, that cause premature aging and cellular damage due to its unique enzymatic biomass formula, enabled by its carefully crafted, researched-based production method. This diverse enzymatic bio-portfolio available in Hericium erinaceus, can significantly reduce oxidative stress in the body, which in turn has an anti-inflammatory and modulating effect on the organism. In addition, Hericium erinaceus has shown a potent anti-inflammatory effect that helps prevent aging. Vloom-Focus has been reported in research to significantly elevate levels of Lipoxin A4 in the body. Lipoxin A4 is a potent endogenous anti-inflammatory metabolite that has been correlated to the suppression of neuroinflammation in the body and the inhibition of UV radiation-induced skin inflammation.

Additional benefits:

Researched Effects of Hericium erinaceus, on the Skin:

H. erinaceus (Lion’s mane) harnesses some of the most powerful antioxidant properties among all edible mushrooms, protecting the body against everyday toxins and stress effects. The polysaccharides in the mushroom enhance the activity of its antioxidant and detoxifying  enzymes, which as we know now, have been shown to decrease the inflammation in the body. In addition, in research this mushroom has also been observed to increase collagen levels in aging skin. This has resulted in a reported enhancement and acceleration in wound healing. After H. erinaceus ingestion, and upon wound closure, the healed wound contained less macrophages and more collagen (research references can be explored below).

Depression and the Gut-Brain Axis

A study on the therapeutic potential of Hericium erinaceus for the treatment of depressive disorder.

The study published in the journal "BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine" explores the therapeutic potential of the mushroom Hericium erinaceus for the treatment of depressive disorder. Based on an extensive review of the scientific literature, the authors propose various mechanisms by which H. erinaceus could exert antidepressant effects:

  1. Neurotransmitter Modulation: The fungus contains bioactive compounds that may increase levels of serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine in the brain, neurotransmitters closely related to mood and emotion regulation.

  2. Neuroprotective Effect: H. erinaceus promotes the production of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a protein essential for neuronal growth and survival. BDNF plays a crucial role in neuroplasticity, the brain's ability to adapt and create new connections, which is considered a key factor in depression recovery.

  3. Reduction of Oxidative Stress: Chronic oxidative stress is associated with the pathophysiology of depression. H. erinaceus possesses antioxidant properties that combat free radicals and protect brain cells from oxidative damage, thus contributing to improved mood.

  4. Anti-inflammatory Effect: Chronic inflammation is also implicated in depression. H. erinaceus has demonstrated anti-inflammatory properties that could reduce brain inflammation and improve depressive symptoms.

  5. Improvement of Gut Microbiota: Gut health is closely linked to mental health. H. erinaceus promotes the re-balancing of the gut microbiota, increasing the diversity of beneficial gut bacteria and decreasing the production of harmful inflammatory bacteria. This prebiotic activity could contribute to the reduction of depressive symptoms by modulating the gut-brain axis, and decreasing further neurological inflammation and damage.

The pre-clinical and clinical studies have demonstrated that H. erinaceus significantly ameliorates depressive disorder through monoaminergic modulation, neurogenic/neurotrophic, and anti-inflammatory pathways, indicating the potential role of H. erinaceus as complementary and alternative medicine for the treatment of depression.

In summary, Vloom-Focus® can contribute to:

  • Prevent age-related decline.

  • Combat daily oxidative stress and inflammation.

  • Promoting young and healthy skin.

  • Strengthen cognition, and mental health.

  • Promote faster wound healing.

  • Nourishes the body from the inside out.
